President – Mariel Cisneros

Mariel Cisneros is a senior program manager leading digital systems engineering for the research and advanced design organization as part of the Aeronautics sector at the Northrop Grumman Corporation. In this role Mariel oversees all the architecture and model-based systems engineering products across a wide portfolio of projects ranging from advanced weapons, future battle management systems, and space air integration for tomorrow’s battles. Mariel brings a diverse perspective to her role from prior experiences on both air and space programs to guide the strategic vision for the future of the Aeronautics projects. Mariel is a proud first-generation graduate and holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from California State University, Long Beach, a master’s degree in architecture-enterprise based systems engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and several certifications from the California Institute of Technology. Mariel is an active and passionate DEI leader within the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Northrop Grumman communities serving as the SWE Latinos Affinity Group Co-Chair, the SWE Orange County Section secretary, the SATO Academy of Math and Science SWENext Counselor, the Northrop Grumman’s Women’s International (NGWIN) ERG Aeronautics sector chair. Mariel helped develop the Mujeres initiative in 2021 and serves as the external communications lead helping spread the mission of Mujeres to external organizations.

Madison has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Montana State University with minors in Mathematics and Soil Sciences.  
After graduating, she worked at the Disneyland Resort as a Civil Engineering intern. Her main project at Disney was the reconstruction of the ToonTown area to accommodate the new Mickey’s and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction. Today, Madison works at GreenbergFarrow where she does commercial land development projects for a wide array of global companies. Her primary clients are Starbucks, Texas Roadhouse, and Walmart. 
Outside of work, Madison enjoys attending SWE events to meet other women in the industry, spending her free time reading, and is training for her first marathon.

Treasurer – Natalie White

Natalie White earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Math from Texas Christian University and had a 15-year career as a software developer before becoming a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Her prior experience in the telecommunications, e-commerce payments, and pharmacy industries help her build trust with the healthcare and life science customers she supports today. She is active in the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Amazon Women in Engineering (AWE), and the Girl Scouts of Orange County. 
Secretary – Sophia Leung

Sophia has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rice University and M.S. in Food Science from University of Illinois.  During her career, she has worked in food product and process development, biotechnology research, and as a patent examiner.  She is grateful for the outreach activities, professional development, and leadership opportunities provided by SWE to make friends, help each other, and keep learning.
