Below is the proposed slate of SWE-OC officer nominees for this upcoming fiscal year starting July 1, 2026. The petitioning period is open, and the last day to petition* to be a nominee is April 15th, 2026.

*The instructions to petition to be on the ballot AFTER the April 8th, 2026 deadline:
1. The member is eligible for the position (i.e. must be voting member of the Society);
2. The member has given written consent to being placed on the ballot;
3. A minimum of two percent or five of the voting members of the section, whichever is greater, have signed a petition or endorsed an email to place the candidate’s name on the ballot; and
4. The petition, together with the written consent, is submitted to the chair of the nominating committee by April 15th, 2026 at 5pm PDT. Please send all petitions to nominating@swe-oc.org and president@swe-oc.org.
The new SWE-OC year begins on July 1, 2026, and volunteer opportunities are open! We are looking for people to help organize and plan events. Volunteering for a position is fun, rewarding, and a great way to expand your leadership skills.

If you are interested in holding an officer or committee chair position for FY27, please fill out the FY27 interest form and email president@swe-oc.org and nominating@swe-oc.org. Officer roles are elected. Chair and committee member roles are not part of the voting process, but we collect interest for these roles year-round. The due date for officer nominations is April 7th, 2026. Thank you!
The schedule for our elections for Officer Roles is as follows:
April 7, 2026 (by 5pm PDT) – Last day to express interest in an officer position. FY27 interest form
April 8, 2026 – Nominees are posted for members & the petitioning period opens.
April 15, 2026 (by 5pm PDT) – Last day to petition to be a nominee.*
April 16, 2026 – Voting begins. Final slate posted.
April 30, 2026 (by 5pm PDT) – Voting ends.
FY27 officers will be recognized at the SWE-OC Professional Development Conference on May 2nd.
